Spiced Hot Apple Cider

Ingredients

2 quarts fresh pressed apple juice

6 whole star anise

4 cinnamon sticks

10 allspice berries

1 orange, sliced

 

Instructions

1. Combine all ingredients in a large slow cooker pot. Cook on low for 4 hours.

2. Turn off slow cooker and strain warm apple juice into a glass container, preventing star anise, cinnamon, allspice, and orange from remaining in the liquid.

3. Enjoy a nice mug of hot cider while it’s warm. Allow the rest to cool and keep sealed and refrigerated for up to two weeks.
